Metasite-developed software powers in-store shopper self-service kiosk experience in RIMI hypermarkets across the Baltics

Metasite has completed the launch of RIMI Baltic shopper self-service kiosk terminals in Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia. The terminals are available in more than one hundred major RIMI stores across the Baltics.

The self-service terminals greatly expand the benefits available to My RIMI loyalty card holders: by swiping their loyalty cards at an in-store terminal they get personalized offers with special discounts, can print discount coupons and track their loyalty card balances.

Metasite implemented and integrated the entire Kiosk solution for RIMI Baltic, starting from hardware integration and ending with end-user experience design and testing. “This project was an interesting challenge from many points of view, and required integration with multiple systems including the RIMI loyalty system, kiosk management software, printer and kiosk peripherals. The touch screen navigation simulates the experience found on advanced smart-phones and overall creates a superb customer experience independent of the age and proficiency of the client– all in multiple languages” – said Gintarė Kučiauskienė, the project manager at Metasite.

With the introduction of electronic self-service experience in retail, RIMI makes a fresh step forward in the Baltic retail market, bringing its shops closer to serving the individual needs of its customers.
